Plan Your Visit

The Saint-Joseph Museum collects, preserves, researches, exhibits, and interprets artefacts related to the colonisation and agricultural development of the Rural Municipality of Montcalm from 1880 to the present day, with a focus on the period from 1880 to 1930.

The collections are agricultural, domestic, military, religious, sports, and leisure-related.

Customised guided tours for special occasions are available upon request.

Guided tours are available from May to October.

The museum has indoor (not air-conditioned, with the exception of the Tourist Centre) and outdoor spaces. We encourage you to dress for the weather.

Accessibility

The Saint-Joseph Museum has indoor and outdoor spaces, but the majority of the experience takes place outdoors between the buildings. The paths are gravel and grass. Some buildings are accessible via wheelchair ramps; these are indicated on the Museum map. The second level of the Perron and Moquin houses and the Plankey Plain church are accessible by stairs only.

If needed, the Museum offers on-site transportation with our 'bazou' (golf cart) to facilitate visits.
